Sanyasi
Sarfaroshi President, The Dehwa colony, Shamli city
Sanyasi hides his greatest fears behind a smile. It’s a wry sort of smile, a knowing smile that he uses to extend himself to others around him all the time, without fail. He’s at the forefront of his community’s fight to get on the reserved caste list so that they can battle the social discrimination the Dehwas have historically faced. Whether it is the big reservation battle or the smaller fight to take a community member to hospital, Sanyasi is ever present, from dawn to dusk, putting his own needs last.
