Revati is the founder-director of Sarfaroshi. Once upon a time she lived in Delhi but now, Shamli has her – hook, line and sinker. She is a pucca Shamliite. Revati is a journalist whose primary focus has been political and mass-violence. She believes that, having written a fair bit about regimes of oppression, it was time for her to try and thwart these. A book she wrote in 2018, `The Anatomy of Hate,’ forced her to look at violence differently. It empowered her to move to Shamli and set up the Sarfaroshi Foundation. Outside of her work space, Revati is known to be a full dramebaaz and her mother still believes that she would have been better off as an actor in Bollywood.
